Work Experiences

Dive into how I’ve practiced my skills under professional contexts.

Internship - IT & Communications Intern

Language Access Department, Office of Access, Inclusion & Compliance, WI, USA

12/2025 – Present

I'm very honored to work at UW-Madison Extension, a warm and generous community that opened its wings to me. I have felt genuinely welcomed, valued, and supported here!

  • My primary responsibility is designing and optimizing department-wide request tracking and document management workflows using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Outside of my main tasks and meetings, I also review all web posts on the department’s main website to ensure content relevancy and web design accessibility.
  • I improve workflow smoothness by designing and evaluating multiple forms/questionnaires.
  • I also assist colleagues with Mandarin translation/interpretation evaluation for the department’s language access work.

Part Time - Public Services Student Assistant

Memorial Library, WI, USA

04/2024 – Present

Working in a beautiful and welcoming library has been one of my college goals, so I applied as soon as I learned about this opportunity.

  • At Memorial Library, I help students, staff, researchers, and visitors feel supported by assisting with checkouts, returns, directions, general information, and basic reference questions.
  • I also help maintain the library’s daily order and cleanliness, monitor public equipment, and report issues to supervisors when needed.

Internship - IT Intern

Technology Department, Sinovation Ventures, Beijing, China

05/2025 – 08/2025

I joined Sinovation Ventures to explore how information technology supports operations across a fast-paced, international organization.

  • My core responsibility was to help maintain the smooth operation of technology equipment and IT workflows across all company departments.
  • I also worked with a teammate to develop and deploy a Django-based monitoring system on Linux for more than 10 servers, automating alerts and dashboard reporting.
  • One especially meaningful task was updating the company’s bilingual public website, which sparked my interest in UX design and motivated me to start self-learning web development.

Part Time - Culinary Assistant

Carson’s Market, University Housing, Dining & Culinary Services

01/2024 – 06/2024

As my first on-campus part-time job, this role introduced me to the internal operations of university departments, and became my starting point for understanding campus service management.

  • I also learned the service process of a dining job, made many friends, and better understood the importance of food safety and health.
  • Not to mention gaining a lot of free food and cooking skills along the way!
