Data Analytics Club - President

BioKind, UW-Madison

03/2025 – Present

At this wonderful org, each role I took on became the foundation for the next!

  • Team Lead, 2025: This was what really sparked my interest in applied data analysis.
I worked with county-level socioeconomic data in R and Python, and started learning how the same dataset can tell very different stories depending on the questions we ask and how we visualize it.
  • Project Manager, Spring 2026: I learned that keeping a project moving and helping teammates collaborate is just as important as the analysis itself.
Our team analyzed more than 92,000 attendance records for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County.
Presenting our findings at their headquarters was one of my favorite moments! It was incredibly fulfilling to see our work actually contribute to conversations and decisions among stakeholders.
  • President, Fall 2026: The transition has honestly been a little overwhelming, there is much more behind running a club than I expected, and coordinating partners, faculty, board members, and students is a big responsibility.
I’m excited to keep improving the club and help students find projects where they can genuinely learn, contribute, and explore what they are interested in!
    Let's go Biokind!

Healthy Meals Website - UX Designer, Most Promising Solution Award

Badgers For Good Design-a-thon, UW-Madison

04/2026

This was my most memorable one-day, hackathon-style UX design competition where my team worked with Healthy School Meals for All to improve their website.

  • Although the original task only required redesigning one section, I proposed a more ambitious full-website redesign within 8 hours.
  • The coolest feature that we embedded in the website was an interactive map for users to find state senator contact info, along with 3 message templates so they can directly advocate their thoughts on school food health, far exceeding the original competition requirements.
  • I’ll always remember the importance of rapid prototyping and ability to deliver a polished presentation under pressure.

MadDining Website - Project Lead

MadCoders Symposium, UW-Madison

09/2025 - 03/2026

MadDining started from my own experience trying to compare UW–Madison dining options while ranking dorms and realizing there was no centralized place for student dining reviews.

  • At MadCoders, I initiated and led a four-person team to turn this idea into a website where current students can share dining hall reviews and incoming Badgers can consider food options when choosing dorms.
  • I collaborated on site structure, interface design, and front-end development while planning future server-side integration and survey-based data collection.
